PRATHEREdna Elizabeth Prather, 84, of Memphis, passed away November 19, 1987 in the Scotland County Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Lewis and Ada L. Smith, born September 13, 1903 in the McAdow Community of Scotland County.
She became a member of the Presbyterian Church January 14, 1917.
Edna was united in marriage to Leslie Hugh Prather of Memphis October 9, 1925 in Quincy, Ill. To this union, two sons were born: Robert E. Prather, Bedford, Texas and Harold L. Prather, Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
Edna is survived by her two sons and their wives, two sisters, Anna Mae Browning, Crystal City, and Esther Garner, Jefferson City. Survivors also include four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Payne-Gerth Funeral Chapel November 22, 1987 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Clifford Horton officiating.
Body bearers were: Paul Burns, Bob Shanes, Myron Smith, Don Pence, and Franklin Reed. Organist was Connie Courtney.
