Marjorie C. Pollpeter, 88, of Warsaw, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
She was born on February 27, 1913, in Burnside, the daughter of Herbert R. and Flora E. VanDine. She married Harold "Smokey" Pollpeter on September 30, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one niece, Sharon "Cher" Jenkins of Warsaw; one step daughter, Norma "Jackie" Allen of Seattle, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Warren VanDine.
She was a graduate of Burnside High School in Burnside. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was of the Christian faith.
The body was cremated and services will be held at a later date.
Memorials can be made to the Warsaw Ambulance Service, and may be mailed or taken to Lamporte Funeral Home, P.O. Box 32, 720 Main, Hamilton, Il 62341.
Lamporte Funeral Home of Warsaw was in charge of arrangements.
