Shilo.

Mrs. Permelia Phillips, wife of John W. Phillips, died at her home near Shilo on the morning of the 24th.  Mrs. Phillips was born in Floyd county, Va., Dec. 23d, 1823.  Was married Dec. 23d, 1840, and came to Illinois in 1852.  She was the mother of fifteen children, eleven of whom with the aged and stricken husband survive her.  Aunt Milly as she was familiarly called, was a kind hearted unassuming woman, faithful in the performance of her duties as wife, mother and neighbor.  She bore her long and painful illness with wonderful resignation.  She was a firm believer in the doctrine of the Primitive Baptist church, though not a member.  Burial at the Holland cemetery the following day.  The funeral discourse will be preached at Providence next Sabbath.
