Georgia Fern Payne, 72, Macon, died Tuesday at Moberly Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 13, 1917, in Mullen, Neb., to Lawrence W. and Lillian (Henning) Edie. From the age of 3, she was raised by her grandparents, Harvey and Minnie Edie. She and Jessey J. Payne were married July 1, 1933, at Marceline. He died March 29, 1974.
She lived in Linn County and in Macon for most of her life. She was a member of Bucklin Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are six sons, Larry E. Payne, Orange Park, Fla., John M. and William A. Payne, Macon, Randy L. Payne, Bucklin, David N. Payne, Marceline, and Gerald D. Payne, Excelsior Springs; five daughters, Phylis L. Jones, Norma L. (Mrs. Dale) Smith, Shirley V. (Mrs. Jackie) Rufener and Linda M. (Mrs. Donald) Bunton, all of Macon, and Margaret P. (Mrs. Richard) Bromley, Woodridge, Va.; 34 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Adair, Silver City, Iowa and Lilly Fay Calcotte, Hannibal; two half-brothers, Lawrence W. Edie Jr., California state and Kenneth Edie, Cordova, Ill., and two half-sisters, Carol Barry, Kansas City and Loretta Gladbach, Marceline.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Jessey Wayne Payne, on March 27, 1979; a sister, Edna Griffin; stepmother, Elizabeth Edie and half-brother, Laverne Edie.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the Bucklin Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Allan Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Cash Cemetery, northwest of New Cambria. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home, Macon, and 1 p.m. to service time Friday, at the church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Bucklin Assembly of God Church with Rev. Allan Patterson officiating. Burial will be in the Cash Cemetery northwest of New Cambria. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday evening at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon and from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Assembly of God Church in Bucklin.

Preceding her in death were her husband; a son, Jessey Wayne Payne on March 27, 1979; her mother, Lillian Tripp; her father, Lawrence Edie; one sister, Edna Griffin; her step-mother, Elizabeth Edie; and one half brother, Laverne Edie.
She lived most of her life in Macon and Linn County. She was a member of the Bucklin Assembly of God Church.
