Column 1Edgar Payne
Edgar Payne, 53, of 3227 Belmont, Kansas City, died Tuesday at his home. A native of Bucklin, Mo., he had lived in this area 31 years. He was a machinist for the White Engine works and a member of the Machinists local 4328. Mr. Payne is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dora E. Payne of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Swanie Bryant, East Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Linder, Springfield, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Hilda Powell, Springfield, Ill., and Mrs. Rose Howard, Chicago; four stepsons, Arthur Bly, 3902 N. Delaware; Roland Bly, 10101 E. 20th; Marvin Bly, Emeryville, Calif.; and Everett L. Bly, 6023 Overton, Raytown; two brothers, J. J. Payne, Bucklin and Lawrence L. Payne, Brookfield; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Schneider, Macon, and Mrs. Grace Green, Brookfield, and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Carson chapel, and at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Larson chapel in Bucklin. Burial will be in the Cash cemetery, Bucklin.

Column 8Edgar Payne, 53, Dies in Kansas City
Edgar Payne, 53, of Kansas City, Mo., a former resident of the Lingo Community in Macon County, died Wednesday morning at his home.
The body was taken to the Larson Funeral Home in Bucklin where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Earl Myers. Burial will be in the Cash Cemetery.
Mr. Payne is survived by his wife, Dora, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Swanie Bryant of East Moline, Ill. and Mrs. Mary Linder of Springfield, Mo.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Hilda Powell of Springfield, Mo. and Mrs. Rose Howard of Chicago, Ill.; four stepsons, Arthur Bly and Roland Bly of Independence, Marvin Bly of Emeryville, Calif. and Everett Bly of Raytown; two brothers, Jessey Payne of Bucklin and Lawrence Payne of Brookfield; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Schneider of Macon and Mrs. Grace Green of Marceline; and 14 grandchildren.
