Mrs. Albert Patterson Dies Here March 2

Margaret Butler Patterson passed away at her home at 221 N. Washington St., March 2, 1946.  She was born March 21, 1866, and was the daughter of John and Martha Butler.

She was united in marriage to Albert Patterson, October 5, 1885.  To this union was born seven children: Mrs. Effie Coffman, of Montezuma, Indiana; Homer, Henry, Ebert, Charles and Mrs. Gail Mosley, of CarthageFloyd preceded her in death May 31, 1938.

She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Emma Ash of Carthage, Mrs. Mary Moss of Macomb, two brothers, Frank and James Butler of Alton; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, with a host of relatives and  friends to mourn her passing.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years.

Funeral services were conducted at the Elms Monday at 2:00 p. m. Rev. W. C. Burk, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated.  Interment was in McKay cemetery.

The music was in charge of Mrs. Billie Thompson.

Pallbearers were: John Austin, Taylor Mosley, Fred Surratt, Joe Munson, George Mills and Herman Moss.
