Funeral services for Joe Patterson were held Nov. 28 at the Neiser Funeral Home with the Rev. Skiles in charge of the services. Pallbearers were Louis Stewart, Raymond Mosley, Donald Hackett, Walter Sammons, Lee Cravens and Russell Moore.
Joe Patterson, life long resident of Carthage, passed away at Iowa City Hospital Saturday morning, Nov. 26 where he had been a patient only five days.
He was the son of Albert and Margaret Patterson, born July 9, 1896 in Hancock Co.
He was married to Miss Gertrude Davis Oct. 1, 1918 at Keokuk, Iowa. They were the parents of four children. Two died in infancy.
Surviving is a son Albert E. and a daughter Beulah M. One brother, Homer of Carthage and one sister, Mrs. Gail Mosley, two nieces and two nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
