Column 1Albert Patterson Dies In Nursing Home
Albert Patterson, son of Eason and Eveline E. Wilson Patterson, was born August 27, 1864, near La Crosse, Illinois in Hancock County. He was the youngest of three children.
Mr. Patterson was united in marriage with Margaret Ann Butler, October 5, 1885 and to this union seven children were born: Effie May Coffman of Richmond, Ind.; Homer, Joe, Ebert, Woodrow and Mrs. Gail Mosley, all of Carthage, Illinois. One son, Floyd, preceded him in death May 31, 1938; his wife, Margaret on March 2, 1946. He also leaves seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Since the death of his wife, he has resided at his home at 229 N. Washington St., with his three sons, until his illness December 6 when we was taken to Memorial hospital, and later to the Woods Nursing Home in Colchester, Illinois, where he passed away at 10:10 a. m., Sunday, February 1. He was the last one of his immediate family.
Funeral services were held from The Elms Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. Walter C. Burk, officiating.
Burial was in McKay cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Harold Welch, John Jacoby, Fred Wright, Albert Salisbury, Perry Harbur and Harry Jobe.
