Kenneth E. Nudd 89, of LaHarpe died Nov. 18, 1997 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.
He was born Oct. 13, 1908, south of LaHarpe, the son of Harry and Vina (Alley) Nudd. On Oct. 23, 1929, he married Anna V. Abbott in Keokuk, Iowa. She died Feb. 1, 1986.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Bricker, LaHarpe; one son, Kenneth Nudd, Nauvoo; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one nephew, J. C. Nudd, LaHarpe.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, James.
He attended LaHarpe Schools, graduating in 1926. He retired from farming in 1974. He enjoyed antique farm equipment and cars.
Nudd was a member of the LaHarpe Union Church, Hancock County Farm Bureau, and Western Illinois Threshers. He served as a school director in the Tarman and Bradshaw School Districts, on the Triple A Board of Directors and the Board of the Federal Home Loan Corporation.
Funeral services will Nov. 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the LaHarpe Union Church with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Family visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Friends may call anytime after 2:00 p.m. Wed. at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Burial will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center and or the LaHarpe Union Church.
