Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Myers, 78, of Macomb, a native of Carthage, were held Friday, May 27, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dodsworth Funeral Home in Macomb. Burial was in Forest Memorial Gardens in Macomb.
Mrs. Myers died in a Macomb hospital Wednesday afternoon, May 25, following an extended illness.
Born in Carthage, May 20, 1882, she was a daughter of James and Liza Curry Marshall. She was married to Alfonso Myers, who died in 1934. She lived in Carthage until she moved to Macomb 15 years ago.
She was a Gold Star Mother, her son, Lawrence, having been killed in the Philippines in World War II.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ray Boston of Niota; three sons, Levi of Davenport, Dale of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Alman of Nauvoo; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Miss Edith Marshall of Dallas City.
