Funeral services for Melgar Anderson Mosley, 75, of Carthage were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Kilgore Memorial Home with the Rev. D. E. Skiles officiating.
Burial was in Oakgrove Cemetery.
Mr. Mosley was born Feb. 13, 1892 in Hancock County, a son of William and Paralee Mosley. He was reared in the Oak Grove Area and in 1942 he and his family moved to Carthage.
He married Jessie Mae Smith, April 24, 1912 in Carthage. Before his retirement he was employed by Huey Seed Co. and Carthage College.
Mr. Mosley was a member of the Christian church at Carthage.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Leota Cludray and Mrs. Leona Smith both of Carthage and Mrs. Harmon (Coleen) Dochterman of West Burlington, Iowa; three sons, Rollie and Dean both of Carthage and William of East Moline; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Orth of Keokuk, Mrs. Belva Reuck of Carthage and Mrs. James (Ollie) Gass of Burlington, Iowa and two brothers, Tylee of Keokuk and Harley of Phoenix, Ariz.
