CLARA MOSLEY

Nov. 11, 1900 -- Feb. 11, 1995

Clara Waisath Mosley, 94, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Saturday, Feb. 11, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born Nov. 11, 1900, in Perry County, the daughter of Joseph Henry and Theresa Blatter Waisath.  She married Tylee Mosley Aug. 20, in Carthage.

She is survived by one son, Donald Mosley of Bellaire, Mich.; three grandchildren, Rebecca Ingersoll of Canton Township, Mich., Donald Mosley of Dearborn, Mich., and Sally Clare Carlson of Troy, Mich.; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Ingersoll, Patrick Carlson and Shannon Mosley, all of the Detroit, Mich. area; and one sister, Mary Molyneaux of Wilmington.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Lois Mosley in 1927; a son, Otis Franklin Mosley in the service in Italy on May 31, 1944; five brothers; and three sisters.

She had lived in Keokuk, Iowa, since 1919 and had been employed by General Mills for 28 years.  She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and had served in various capacities.

Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. John Heath officiating.  Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery east of Carthage.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.

Clara Mosley

KEOKUK,  Iowa -- Clara Waisath Mosley, 94, of Keokuk, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 11, 1995) in Keokuk Area Hospital.

Born in Perry County, Ill., on Nov. 11, 1900, Mrs. Mosley was a daughter of Joseph Henry and Theresa Blatter Waisath.  She married Tylee Mosley Aug. 20, 1920, in Carthage, Ill.

Mrs. Mosley had lived in Keokuk since 1919 and had been employed by General Mills Co. for 28 years.  She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and had served in various capacities.

Survivors include a son, Donald L. Mosley of Bellaire, Mich.; a sister, Mary Molyneaux of Wilmington, Ill.; three grandchildren, Rebecca A. Ingersoll of Canton Township, Mich., Donald M. Mosley of Dearborn, Mich., and Sally C. Carlson, of Troy, Mich.; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma L. Mosley; a son, Otis F. Mosley in the military service in Italy on May 31, 1944; five brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. John Heath.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Carthage.

Visitation will be held 2-9 tonight in Dejong’s Funeral Home in Keokuk with family meeting friends after 7 p.m.
