Virgil "Jiggs" Molloy, 76, Meadville, died March 21 in Liberty Hospital.
Memorial services will be held in the Meadville First Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, under direction of the Wright Funeral Home, Meadville. The Rev. Steve Long will officiate.
The body was cremated.
Virgil Ray, son of Jefferson Davis and Mary (Hayes) Molloy, was born Nov. 16, 1913 in Linn County near Shafter. On Aug. 28, 1940 he was married to Betty Palmer in Trenton.
Surviving are his widow of the home; two daughters. Barbara DeVaul and husband, Richard, and Beverly Sargent and husband, Larry, all of Meadville; one son, Mack Molloy and wife, Lisa, Carrollton; three grandchildren, Mike and Paula Sargent and Clint DeVaul; two great-granddaughters; one sister, Blanche Meneely, Meadville, several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were five brothers, Cecil, Bryan, Mack, Wilbur and John.
He was a retired farmer and member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church north of Meadville.
There will be no visitatoon.
Memorials have been suggested to the Meadville R-4 School. Gifts may be left at the Wright Funeral Home.
