Column 1MARRIED IN PEORIA
Clay Miller and Miss Helen Stewart of this city, went to Peoria where they were married at the home of Mrs. E. R. Waggoner on Dec. 22, the Rev. Mr. Benson officiating.
They are two of our popular young people, both attended Carthage high school, whose many friends wish them every joy and success.
They will make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Scott Belknap for the present.

Column 2CLAY MILLER
Clay E. Miller, 84, of Plymouth, died Saturday morning at his home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1901, in Hancock Township, Hancock County, a son of Joe and Daisy Armour Miller. He was raised in the home of Scott and Lutichia Belknap. He married Helen Stewart Dec. 22, 1926, in Peoria.
He farmed for many years in the Oak Grove area and operated a grocery store and locker plant in Plymouth before his retirement. A graduate of Carthage High School, he also attended Carthage College. He was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Norma Jean Portlock of Anchorage, Alaska; two sons, Richard L. of Plymouth and Larry G. of Sherrard; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Donald E. and one sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Revs. Franklin Woods and Don Kakavekos officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Christian Church.
