Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha J. Metcalf, 82, LaHarpe, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with the Rev. Robert Longdon officiating. Burial was in the Glade City Cemetery.
Mrs. Metcalf died Saturday morning, Oct. 12, 1974, in the Colchester Nursing Home.
She was born March 16, 1892, in Fountain Green, a daughter of Jay Willard and Mae Bell Calvin White. She married Glenn A. Metcalf Aug. 16, 1919, in Macomb. He preceded her in death. She was employed at the LaHarpe and Carthage Hospitals. She was a member of the LaHarpe Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Leona) Adams of West Chester and Mrs. James (Harriet) Rich of LaHarpe; and two grandchildren.
