Jeromey E. McConnell, 33, of LaHarpe died Sunday, June 26, 2005, in Fountain Green Township, rural Blandinsville.
He was born Dec. 2, 1971, the son of Garold and Cynthia Strode McConnell in Macomb. On Aug. 22, 1998, he married Angela Nixon in LaHarpe.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Brayden Edward McConnell; his father, Garold McConnell of LaHarpe, his mother and step-father, Cynthia and Daniel Lambert of Bardolph; four sisters, Stacey R. Reed and Tina M. Ragain, both of LaHarpe, Cindy J. Lambert of Bardolph and Crystal D. Lambert of Macomb; one brother, John R. Mowrey of Rock Falls; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne and Arlene McConnell and Elmer and Daisy Strode.
He was a 1990 high school graduate, graduating high school in Karlsrue, Germany. He later attended Western Illinois University in Macomb. From 1991 to 1994 he served in the US Army, serving in Somalia. He later served in the Army Reserves. He was a supervisor at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant in Middletown, Iowa, where he worked since 2000. He also worked as a self employed carpenter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed all sports, dancing, and being with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday July 1, at the LaHarpe Christian Church with Rev. Mark Hanson officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in the McConnell Cemetery near Fountain Green. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe where the family will meet with friends from 6 to 9 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established for his son's education.

Jeromey E. McConnell, 33, LaHarpe, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, in Fountain Green Twp., rural Blandinsville.
