Arlene McConnell

Funeral services for Mrs. Wayne (Arlene) McConnell, 59, Fountain Green, were held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe.  Burial was in McConnell Cemetery near Fountain Green.

Mrs. McConnell died Thursday morning, July 24, 1975, in her home.

She was born April 28, 1916, at Fountain Green, a daughter of Linn and Minnie Greenig Brandon.  She was a member of the Fountain Green Presbyterian Church and the AWT Sunday school class.  She married Wayne McConnell March 8, 1934, in Macomb.

Surviving with her husband is her mother of Macomb; 11 children, Mrs. Bill (Bonnie) McKeown of Blandinsville, Robert of Fountain Green, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Shores of Woodhull, Mrs. Tommy (Marcia) Foster of Colchester, James of Burnside, Mrs. Jack (Karen) Matthews and Garold of Blandinsville, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Hecker of Winfield, Ia.; Alan, Betty Jo and Teddy at home; two brothers, George Brandon of Blandinsville and Baxter Brandon of Macomb; three sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Maxine) Bean of Macomb, Mrs. Harold (Kathleen) Carlson of New Auburn, Wis., and Mrs. Bernard (Bessie) Gillett of Tucson, Ariz.; 29 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, John Mark.
