Miss Geraldine Boston Weds
Robert Maynard Sunday

Miss Geraldine Boston of Crete, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boston of Route 1, Carthage, and Robert Maynard of Chicago, son of Mrs. Kenneth Maynard of Carthage and the late Mr. Maynard, were married at 4 p.m. Sunday in the home of the bride's parents.  The Rev. Leslie C. Archer, pastor of the Monticello Methodist church, formerly of Carthage, officiated in the double ring ceremony in the presence of immediate family members.  Other relatives and friends attended the reception which followed the service.

A large bouquet of jonquils and white snapdragons was on a table at the north side of the room near where the couple made their vows.

Miss Gladys Bollinger, former roommate of the bride at Crete, sang "Because" with a recording as accompaniment.  A recording of the wedding march was also used.

Attendants

Mrs. John Douglas of Plymouth; sister of the bride, and Richard Maynard of Carthage, brother of the bridegroom, were attendants.  Mrs. Tom Thompson of Crown Point, Ind., sister of the bridegroom, was in charge of the guest book.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a street length dress of satin embroidered white cotton with full back panels of lace.  Her headband of lace matched the panels.  She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow rosebuds and white hyacinth florets.  Mrs. Douglas wore a satin embroidered yellow cotton dress and carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and yellow rosebuds.

Mrs. Boston's dress was of pale blue acetate and rayon and she wore a corsage of yellow rosebuds.  Mrs. Maynard wore a pink two-piece dress and a white glammelia corsage.

Mrs. LaVerne Mitchell of Carthage cut the cake and JoAnne and Judy Dickinson of Carthage assisted in serving the cake and punch.  Mrs. Olaf Dickinson and Mrs. Joe Vance were in the kitchen.  Linda Dickinson of Carthage and Paula and Barbara Douglas of Plymouth assisted the guests with their coats.

Following the reception the couple left to make the trip back to Crete where they are at home at 1966 Dixie Highway.  For traveling, the bride wore plaid cotton chemise dress in pastel shades.
