Mrs. Maynard Dies
At LaHarpe Hospital

Mrs. Evelyn Eliza Maynard, resident of LaHarpe for the past 55 years, died at the LaHarpe hospital at 4:30 Monday morning.  She had been ill of neuritis two weeks.  The Rev. Stanley B. Hopper conducted funeral services at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Union church in LaHarpe.  Burial was in LaHarpe cemetery.

Mrs. Maynard was born May 13, 1860 at Columbia, S. C.  Her husband, Pliny Maynard, is deceased.  Two daughters, Mrs. Bess Miller and Mrs. Margaret Shutwell of LaHarpe, four sons, Fred and Julian Maynard of LaHarpe, Ward Maynard of Peoria and Kenneth Maynard of Carthage, and a step-son, Harry Maynard of Kansas City, Mo., survive.  A step-daughter, Julie Lovitt, is deceased.
