Robert William Mason, 71, of 2400 Cleveland St., died at 9:55 p.m. Friday at Keokuk Area Hospital East.
He had been ill for a week and in poor health for a year.
Mr. Mason was born March 11, 1905 in Warsaw, Ill., the son of Robert A. and Anna Lobbs Mason. He had lived in Keokuk for 40 years.
He married Winnie C. Krueger November 15, 1929 in Keokuk. He was a member of the Salvation Army Citadel.
Mr. Mason is survived by his wife; a son, Robert of Keokuk; six brothers and four sisters and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the DeJong Funeral Home with Lt. Paul Fleeman officiating.
Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
