Pauline Booth Marsden, 83, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Carthage, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville, Minn.
She was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Carthage, a daughter of William and Rosie Hurt Booth. She married Glenn E. Marsden on April 4, 1948.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn of Stewartville; two daughters, Melinda (Richard) Sargent and Ardith (Rick) Pettis, both of Rochester; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Marsden of Highmore, S.D.; six grandchildren, Richard Gregory (Leah) Sargent of Spring Valley, Minn., Shelley (Teodoro) Pacheco of San Jacinto, Calif., Suzanne Sargent of Rochester, Mark Pettis of Atlanta, Ga., Amanda and Amber Marsden of Highmore; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Tatianna Pacheco of San Jacinto; two brothers, Warren Booth of Rialto, Calif., and Eldon (Lou Ella) Booth of Mendon; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Jay Marsden; her parents; two sisters, Nora (Alex) Johnson and Merlie (Grant) Shinn; and one brother, Clyde Booth.
She farmed in Illinois and Minnesota before retiring to California. They moved to Mendon in 1987 and to Stewartville in 2003. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, fishing, church and family activities.
Graveside services were held Monday, April 30, at Franklin Cemetery in rural Carthage.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Unit of the North Adams County Nursing Home in Mendon, or to the Alzheimers unit of the donor's choice.
Printy Funeral Home in Carthage was in charge of arrangements.
