Column 4William P. Malloy Dies; New Cambria Farmer
William P. Malloy, 74, lifetime resident of Macon County, died at 1 a.m. today in St. Francis Hospital, Marceline, where he had been admitted last night.
He was born Oct. 16, 1888, in Ethel, Mo., to Abraham A. and Amanda Fisher Malloy. Mr. Malloy was a farmer all of his life in the Hart and New Cambria communities.
He married Miss Cleo Baker Nov. 19, 1913, and they were parents of two children.
He was a member of Puzzle Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, of the home; a son, Ralph, New Cambria; and a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Maddox, New Cambria; his mother, Mrs. Amanda Whisenand Marceline; two brothers, Ernest D. Malloy, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ivan Malloy, Bucklin; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Arnold, Whitehall, Mont., Mrs. Clara Whisenand, New Cambria, and Mrs. Jessie Mendenhall, Bucklin, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are tentatively set for 2 p.m., Friday in the Gilleland Funeral Home at New Cambria, conducted by the Rev. Darrell Schwenk of Excello with burial in the New Cambria Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.
