Aileen M. Malloy
Aileen M. Malloy, a lifelong resident of Marceline, died this morning at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City. She was 75.
A former employee of Walsworth Publishing Co., and a homemaker, Mrs. Malloy was the widow of James S. Malloy, whom she married Aug. 13, 1936, at Linneus. He died June 30, 1991.
She was a member of the Marceline First Christian Church, the B of L.E. Auxiliary, NARVE, and the Camaraderie Club of Marceline.
She was born Oct. 13, 1918, in Marceline, to Guy and Lula (DeLong) Wilson.
Surviving are two sons, James S. Malloy, Jr., Independence, and Ronald G. Malloy, Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Collen Sue Barnes, Kansas City; a brother, Ura Wilson, Marceline; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Lorraine Holt.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Terry Campbell at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bentley-Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will commence at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family to meet friends there from 6 to 8 that evening.
The family has suggested memorials to the Marceline First Christian Church which may be left at the funeral home.
