Wilda Naomi Lyon, 84, of Carthage, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at the Hancock County Nursing Home in Carthage of natural causes.
She was born Nov. 25, 1919, in LaHarpe, the daughter of Earl and Mona McCleary Patterson. On May 3, 1963, she married E. Junior Lyon in Carthage.
She is survived by two brothers, Neal and Dean Patterson of LaHarpe; four nieces, Cindy Kienol, Monalisa Graves, Linda Leinbach and Carol Boecker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nina Weeks.
She attended LaHarpe High School graduating in 1937. She also attended Gem City Business College. She was employed many years at ASCS in Carthage and later at St. Louis Gear in Keokuk, retiring in 1975.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Burial followed in the Harmony Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Blessing Hospice of Hancock County or the Western Illinois Old Threshers.
