WILLIAM LOVELL

William A. Lovell, 65, of Bowen, died Sunday at the Grandview Manor Nursing Home in Camp Point.

He was born Jan. 15, 1917, a son of William and Maude Goldsberry Lovell.  He married Evelyn Marie Franks Feb. 11, 1946 in Carthage.  She survives.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Phillip Hartzell Post of the American Legion and of the First Christian Church of Ferris.  He had lived in Ferris and later in Bowen.

He is also survived by a daughter, Cindy of Peoria; three sons, Larry of Peoria, William of Lexington and Jack of Bowen; a brother, Lloyd of Ferris; a sister, Mrs. Mae Climer of Ferris; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother.

Services were held Wednesday in the Lamporte-Fecht Funeral Home in Carthage, the Rev. James Fox conducting.  Burial was in the McKay Cemetery near Burnside.

A memorial has been established in his name.

Departs Life at
Grandview

William Allen Lovell, 65, of Bowen, passed away Sunday, August 1 at 6:05 a.m. in the Grandview Manor Nursing Home in Camp Point.

Funeral services for Mr. Lovell were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 1982 in the Lamporte-Fecht Funeral Home in Carthage, the Rev. James Fox officiating.  Burial will be in McKay Cemetery at Burnside.  Informal visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and the family will meet with friends from 1 - 2 p.m. Wednesday.  Memorials were made in his name.

William Allen Lovell was born January 15, 1917 in Webster, Illinois the son of William C. and Maude A. Goldsberry Lovell.  He lived in Ferris, Illinois fourteen years prior to moving to Bowen.  On February 11, 1946 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Marie Franks in Carthage.  She survives.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Ferris and a World War II Navy Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, four children, namely, Cindy Lovell of Peoria, Larry Lee of Peoria, Wm. Michael of Lexington, Ill., and Jack Eugene at home.  Also surviving is one brother, Lloyd of Ferris and a sister, Mae Climer of Ferris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and a
