Robert Lloyd Lovell

FERRIS, Ill. -- Robert Lloyd Lovell, 74, of  Ferris, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 2, 1986) in his home.

Mr. Lovell was born Oct. 3, 1911, at Webster, Ill., the son of William C. and Maude Goldsberry Lovell.  He married Ruth Edgecomb on July 5, 1933, in Palmyra, Mo.  She survives.

He lived in the Ferris area for 37 years and was employed for a time by the Shelor-Globe Company in Keokuk, Iowa.  He was of the Protestant faith.  He was a member of the Phillip Hartzell American Legion Post 74.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Henson of Adrian, Mrs. Richard (Wanda) Boyer of Ferris, and Mrs. Mike (Mary) Alexander of Quincy; a son, James "Butch" Lovell of Ferris; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Climber of Ferris; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lamporte Funeral Home, Carthage, by the Rev. Ernest L. Barrett.  Burial will be in McKay Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Lovell's name.
