Column 2Mrs. Maud Lovell
Dies at FerrisMrs. Maud Lovell was born Maud A. Goldsberry on January 25, 1876 in Carthage township and passed away Feb. 10, l943 at the home of her daughter in Ferris.
She was married January 16, 1895, to William S. Lovell of Carthage. To this union seven children were born: Mrs. J. B. Hoover of Webster, Ill., Louis Merlin of Carthage, Mrs. Everett Climer of Hamilton, Mrs. Dexter Murphy of Ferris, Mrs. George Urton of Elvaston, Loyd Lovell of Carthage, Allen Lovell, also of Carthage.
Mrs. Lovell is survived by two brothers, Theodore and Roscoe Goldsberry of Hamilton, and a sister, Mrs. Louis Kirchner of Ft. Madison, Iowa. Another sister, Mrs. Bert Thompson has preceded her in death. She also was blessed with 29 grandchildren, 21 of whom are living.
Funeral services were held at The Elms Friday afternoon, Feb. 5 at 2:00 p. m. in charge of Rev. Wayne Newcum. Mrs. Billie Thompson was at the organ and also sang with Mrs. Elsie Mullen, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Going Down the Valley." Interment was in McKay cemetery near Burnside.
