Several relatives from here attended a big reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Londrie of Hamilton in honor of their 53rd marriage anniversary.  Mr. and Mrs. Londrie were former citizens of this community, he being a brother of the late Mrs. Stephen Shipman and uncle of Mrs. Homer Hoyt from whom we get the report of a very happy day in which about eighty relatives and friends took part.  Everyone took a well-filled basket and they say the table groaned beneath its weight of good things to eat.  The immediate members of Mr. and Mrs. Londrie's family are the one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Harter, who lives next door to her parents; then there were the sons, Henry and Perle and their families, also Howard of Liberty; Oscar and family of Burnside; Alfred and family of Hamilton.  Besides these there were present other near relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Hoyt and family, Allen and George Shipman of Webster; Walter Shipman and family of Liberty; Mr. and Mrs. John Shipman and son Milton of Keokuk; Mrs. Nannie Edgecomb and son Fred, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hittner of Carthage; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Londrie of Dallas City; Morgan Hoyt and Mrs. Emma Hikus of Colchester.  Besides a host of old friends and near neighbors who unite in wishing them many more years of wedded bliss.  A substantial gift, a purse of silver was left them as a token of love and good will by the guests.  It was a day long to be remembered and will serve as a stimulant to guide the old people through the stony places onto the happy goal at the end of life.  "Chat" wishes to add her good will to the long list and hopes for them yet many happy years.
