ROCK ISLAND -- Services for Harlan Vere Lenix, 83, of Rock Island, formerly of Hancock County, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Knox-Larson Funeral Home here.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery here.
Memorials may be made to the Organ Fund and the Endowment Fund of the Memorial Christian Church, Rock Island.
Mr. Lenix was born May 20, 1905 in Hancock County, the son of Samuel B. and Iva Mosley Lenix. He married Madge Parker Dec. 21, 1929 in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Barbara Parker of Rock Island, and three grandchildren.
He was a former bus operator for Continental Trailways, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Memorial Christian Church in Rock Island, and a member of Amalgamated Transit Union, and was the recipient of many driving awards.
Mr. Lenix moved to Rock Island from Hancock County in 1976.
