CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Mildred Darlene Lemley, 73, a longtime resident of rural Tennessee, Ill., died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 17,1991) in St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Born Dec. 6, 1917, in Carthage, Mrs. Lemley was a daughter of Marshie and Okle Phillips Moore. On March 14, 1936, she married Albert Leroy Lemley in Carthage. He died Jan. 11, 1990. She was also preceded in death by four brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur and Junior Lemley, both of Tennessee; three daughters, Shirley Riggins of Colorado Springs, Colo., Helen Lemley of Tennessee, and Marylin Baxter of Macomb; a brother, Russell Moore of Carthage; and four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Dejong-Neiser Funeral Home by the Rev. Brad Fangman. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Carthage.
Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Friday with family meeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Note: Oak Grove cemetery is not near Carthage -- it is several miles east and south of Carthage.
