Goldie Mae Lemley, 91, Colchester, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, at her daughter’s home in Colchester.
She was born Nov. 3, 1894, in the Oak Grove community, a daughter of Jerry and Bessie Carle. She married Bert Lemley, July 27, 1911, in Carthage. He died Dec. 12, 1930.
She was a retired employe of the Lyons Manufacturing Co. of Chicago. She was member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Albert, Tennessee and Virgil, Carthage; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Rhea, Mrs. Nellie Dobbins and Mrs. Elsie White, all of Colchester; two brothers, Francis E. Carle, Carthage and Alfred Carle, Macomb; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in the Jones Mortuary, Colchester, the Rev. Ernest Louderman officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
