ORETHA M. LEFFLER

Oretha Maynard Leffler, 68, of Warsaw, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1938, in Warfield, Ky., a daughter of Melvin and Evelyn Stanley Maynard.  She had been married to Bill McCoy, who died in 1963.  She later married James E. Leffler on Dec. 31, 1965, in Milan.

She is survived by her husband of Warsaw; four daughters, Brenda Dials of Keokuk, Iowa, Diana (David) Dunlap of Keokuk, Billie McCoy of Waterloo and Teresa (David) Tilley of Warsaw; five sons, Gregory (Angel) McCoy of West Virginia, Don McCoy of Keokuk, Jim L. Leffler of Warsaw, Joseph Leffler of Morehead and Carl (Patty) Leffler of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Argil (Gail) Maynard of West Virginia; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and a brother, Otis Maynard.

She attended Warsaw Assembly of God Church in Warsaw and Faith Assembly of God Church in Hamilton.  She was an excellent cook.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, singing, jigsaw puzzles and collecting angels.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Crossview Fellowship in Keokuk.  Pastor Terry Lovell officiated.  Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw.

Memorials have been established in her memory.
