Tuesday morning the news quickly spread over the town of the ill health of Nellie Latherow.  Physicians were quickly summoned and although the best medical skill was applied, it was to no avail and e'er the sun had sunk in its crimson bed that night the death angel came and took her up to the beautiful gates of gold.  Nellie G. Williams, eldest daughter of A. D. and L. B. Williams, was born near Ft. Green, Ill., August 21, 1867, and died at her home in this place March 16, 1909, aged 41 years, 6 months and 25 days.  When but a few years of age she removed with her parents to near Kirksville, Mo., where they remained for three years.  The remainder of her life has been spent in the vicinity of her birthplace.  Oct. 16, 1890, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Latherow.  To this union were born six sons and six daughters, one boy Paul, and the baby girl are with the mother in God's garden of rest.  The husband, five sons and five daughters, together with her parents, two brothers and two sisters remain to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother and an affecionate daughter and sister.  The funeral services were held from the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. McNeil.  Interment at the Fountain Green cemetery.
