Mr. Latherow died suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 19. Although he had been in poor health for the past few months, his death was unexpected.

He was married approximately 50 years ago to Gail Miller, who died in 1930. In 1934 he was married to Adda Spangler, who also preceded him in death Dec. 31, 1958. He later married Forrest Ruggles, who survives.
In addition to his farming operation, Mr. Latherow took an active interest in community affairs, serving on the local school board for many years.
A familiar figure in this community for nearly three quarters of a century, he will be missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are two sons, Brice and Clifford of the Fountain Green community; and three grandchildren, Linda, Donald, and Jerry Latherow.
Two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Bradshaw and Mrs. Fannie Lightner, are also deceased.

Edwards of Oak Park, Miss Irene Ruggles of Pittsburg, Kans., Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ruggles, Anita and Gary of Appleton City, Mo., Bob Ruggles of Champaign, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ruggles, Mrs. Claude Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Bainter and Mrs. Helen Wright, all of Macomb; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Williams of Colmar, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Thomas and Bill Wager of Galesburg, Mr. and Mrs. George West and Mr. and Mrs. Dean DeRenzy of Peoria, Kenneth Hupp of Niota, and Mrs. Paul Botts, Miss Evelyn McConnell, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Latherow, and Arthur Hayes of Carthage.
