Column 3APR. 10 -- Married, on Wednesday evening last, at the residence of R. M. Kimbrough, Harmony township, Mr. L. D. Lane to Miss Flora E. Kimbrough, Dr. Booz officiating. About forty relatives and friends of the contracting parties were present. An elaborate wedding supper was spread, and all enjoyed themselves until a late hour. On Thursday a reception was given at the home of Thomas J. Lane, father of the groom. About the same number present. A sumptuous dinner was served, and all present were highly entertained. The young couple are highly respected, and well known in city and country. A large circle of friends extend best wishes for their future welfare and happiness.

Columns 5 & 6Mrs. Flora S. Lane
Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Susan Lane, 87, were held Monday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore Memorial Home, the Rev. Albert Atteberry officiating. Mrs. Ralph Denison was the organist. Casket bearers were Vilas Scanlan, C. W. Morrison, Kenneth Gracey, Bill Ellison, Rollin Reuck, and Wendell Walker. Burial was in Holland cemetery in St. Mary's township.
Mrs. Lane died in Memorial hospital in Carthage Friday, Sept. 21. She had been in the hospital since Aug. 2.
Born Dec. 19, 1874 in Harmony township, she was the daughter of Robert and Almeda Bryant Kimbrough. She was married April 5, 1893 to Lawrence D. Lane. They lived in the Middle Creek community until 1928.
After leaving their farm they lived in Carthage for a number of years and in the late 20's moved to Macomb where Mr. Lane died in 1936. During the past four years Mrs. Lane has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew(Hazel) Hubbard near Burnside.
She was a member of the Carthage Methodist church.
Surviving with Mrs. Hubbard are two other daughters, Mrs. Howard (Edith) Swartz of Galesburg, and Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Carnahan of Macomb; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her parents; a daughter, Neva; a son, Oliver, in World War I; and two brothers, Leo and Dennis Kimbrough.
