Column 1Mrs. Martha A. Landon
Passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Munson, in this city, Jan. 18, 1917, at 9 o'clock, Mrs. Martha Ann Landon, aged 71 years, 11 months and 6 days.
Martha Ann Ammon was born in Indiana, Feb. 12, 1845, and came to Illinois with her family at the age of two years, settling at LaHarpe, and moved to Missouri at the age of 22.
On May 5, 1867, she was married to Lyman Landon in Missouri, to which union nine children were born, J. A. of Burlington, Ia.; Otis G., of Los Angeles, Calif.; N. H., of Burlington; W. H., of Honebook, Calif.; C. V., of Walker, Calif.; Mrs. Bernice Munson of this city. Nine grandchildren also survive. Mr. Landon died twenty-seven years ago. Mrs. Landon has made her home with Mrs. Munson for the past five years.
She was a member of the Christian church in Missouri.
The funeral was held at the Munson residence Saturday at 1 o'clock, Rev. E. M. Smith officiating. Interment at McKay cemetery.
