Column 3Feb. 3. --- February, the last of the winter months, is with us in all its magnificence and splendor, and as it ushers in a life passes out. Lyman Landon, a citizen among us, died Saturday of pneumonia after an attack of la grippe. Mr. L. was born in Lee county, Iowa in about 1841, and has been a resident among us for several years. He was a quiet, peaceable citizen. He leaves a wife and five small children on a little farm of about 25 acres. The funeral was conducted Sunday by Rev. J. B. Royal of the Christian church of which he was a member. Burial in McKay cemetery.
