Victor Allen Lambert, 9, of Keokuk, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, as the result of an automobile accident south of Quincy, Ill.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1993, in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Mark Allen and Marla Steele Lambert.
Survivors include: his mother and stepfather, Marla and Rick Earnst of Quincy; his father, Mark Lambert of Idabel, Okla.; his foster parents, Sandy and Bob Briggs of Keokuk; two brothers, Patrick Lambert and Russell Steele, both of Keokuk; two sisters, Martisha Morgan of Idabel and Katie Lambert of Quincy; his grandparents, Elizabeth and Lloyd Houston of Hamilton, Ill., Bill Lambert of Hayworth, Okla., and Wanda Spradlin of Idabel; his stepgrandparents, Pat and Al Earnst of Quincy.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Lambert; his grandfather, Russell Steele and his grandmother, Dale Lambert.
He was in the second grade at Wells-Carey Elementary School in Keokuk.
He attended the First Christian Church of Keokuk and was a proud and excited member of the Whirlybird Youth Group Class and the Boy Scout Troop Pack #47.
He loved to be outdoors and appreciated all the things of nature. He enjoyed riding his bike and going swimming.
Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. Bill Mitchell and Pastor Dan Davis officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial has been established for the hearing impaired.
