Bernard Kleckner

Funeral services for Bernard Kleckner, 74, 104 N. Head St., Carthage, were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 30 in the Neiser Funeral Home in Carthage with the Rev. Leslie Stewart officiating.  Burial was in South Cemetery in Basco.

Mr. Kleckner died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1972, in Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

He was born March 15, 1898, at Webster, a son of William James and Clara Belle Kinney Kleckner.  He married Miss Flossie Violet Kimbrough Jan. 5, 1918, at Keokuk, Ia.  He has been a township supervisor and had been employed as a sanitary landfill supervisor.

Surviving with his wife are one son, Darrell of Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hobart of New London, Ia., and Mrs. Eva Hainline, Carthage; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Garnet and Vernon; and two brothers, Otto and William.

Note:  He was also preceded in death by his sister Emma Sibert.

Bernard Kleckner

CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Bernard Kleckner, 74, 104 North Head St., Carthage, died at 1:05 p. m., Wednesday, September 27, at Carthage Memorial hospital.

The son of William J. and Clara Belle Kinney Kleckner, he was born in Webster, Ill., March 15, 1898.  He married Flossie Violet Kimbrough.  She survives.

Mr. Kleckner was serving as superintendent of the Carthage Sanitary Landfill at the time of his death.

He is also survived by one son, Darrell, Honolulu, Hawaii.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.

Funeral service will be at 2 p. m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Neiser Funeral home.  The Rev. Leslie R. Stewart will officiate.  Interment will be in South cemetery at Basco.
