Wyatt V. Kimbrough died here Jan. 28, of influenza, aged 83.  His father's family moved to Illinois in 1836 and in 1849 he was married to Elizabeth Street.  Five children came to them: Mrs. Alfred Russell, J. W., Mrs. Charles West and Miss Kittie.  A son, Thomas, died in 1887.  Mrs. Kimbrough died in 1885, shortly after the family moved to Carthage. Mr. Kimbrough was a member of the Christian church and funeral services were conducted there by Judge C. J. Scofield, interment being in Sackman cemetery.


Note: Sackman cemetery is better known today as Franklin cemetery.
