Funeral services for Leon Kimbrough, 57, of Warsaw, were held Saturday in the Lamporte Funeral Home at Warsaw with the Rev. Tom Paul Willadsen officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Warsaw.
A memorial has been established.
Mr. Kimbrough died Wed., July 30, in Keokuk Area Hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1922 in Middlecreek, Ill., the son of Oliver and Velva McKay Kimbrough.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was a member of the American Legion, Ralph Parker Post 682, Warsaw, and the VFW. He was a former ESB Company employee.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Brownlee Kimbrough of Warsaw; his mother, of Warsaw; one daughter, Tina, at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Janet) Beavers of West Point and Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Burnett of Hamilton; one brother, Leo, of Warsaw; a sister, Mrs. William (Betty) Vincent of Fort Madison; and six step grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
