The body of Kimbrough, 34, Warrant Officer junior grade, who died in Germany December 19, 1944, was laid to rest in Keokuk National cemetery Thursday, Jan. 8. He was born in Carthage March 13, 1910, the son of John and Katie Hackett Kimbrough. At the time he entered service in 1941 he was a resident of East Chicago, Ind.
The pallbearers, all schoolmates of the deceased and ex-servicemen included Louis Scott, Ross Earls, Stuart Cravens, Donald Hackett and Wayne Smith of Carthage and Bert Calhoun of Keokuk. The Keokuk post of the American Legion conducted full military rites.
Surviving are two sisters, Sister M. Gertrudis of Holy Cross, Ind., and Mrs. Edward Alberts of Keokuk, and two brothers, John of Keokuk and Martin of Los Angeles, Calif.
