FRED KISER1, AGED 48, OF NEAR BIBLE GROVE, A SUICIDE, WEDNESDAY

Fred Kiser1, aged 48 years, took his own life Wednesday.  His body was found suspended by a rope to a rafter in his barn at noon by one of his children.  Mr. Kiser1 had fastened the rope to the rafter and was so intent on terminating his life that he had to tear away the sheeting of the barn in order to get the rope through.  He apparently put the noose about his neck and jumped or slid from the mow floor.

The reason attributed for his act was grief over a shipment of cattle he had made.  Last week he sent a shipment of cattle to Chicago and he did not realize as much for them as he thought he should.  Since then he had been morose and worried.

Mr. Kiser1 was married and had several grown children.  He lived just south of Bible Grove.
