EARL KIGAR DIES

Earl Kigar died at Kirksville yesterday, January 23, after an illness of several weeks.  Mr. Kigar made his home at the Scotland County Community home for many years and a few months ago was taken to Kirksville.

His body was brought to the Gerth & Baskett funeral home pending funeral arrangements.

FUNERAL TOMORROW FOR EARL KIGAR; DIED JAN. 23

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Greensburg Christian church for Earl Kigar, 69, who died Wednesday at a Kirksville hospital where he had been for several months.  The services will be in charge of Rev. G. Lolin Eaton.

Mr. Kigar, who made his home at the Community Home, is survived by four brothers: Oscar, Edina; Raymond, Baring; Lewis, Rutledge; Joe, Atwater, Ia.; and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Burrus, Baring and Mrs. Burley Salisbury, Rutledge.

Mr. Kigar united with the Greensburg church, August 7, 1938.

Earl Kigar Buried At Greensburg

Funeral services for Earl Kigar, formerly of the northwest part of Knox County, who died in Kirksville Wednesday of last week, Jan. 23, 1952, were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Christian Church in Greensburg.  Burial was there.  The Rev. G. Lolin Eaton was in charge.  Mr. Kigar, 69 years old, had made his home at the Scotland County Community Home in Memphis for many years and was taken to a hospital in Kirksville a few months ago.  Death came there at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon after an illness of several months.  His body was taken to the Gerth & Baskett Funeral Home in Memphis and remained there until time for the services.  Surviving are four brothers and two sisters.  They are: Oscar Kigar of near Edina; Raymond Kigar and Mrs. Joe Burrus of Baring; Lewis Kigar and Mrs. Burley Salisbury of Rutledge and Joe Kigar of Atwater, IowaMr. Kigar united with the Greensburg church Aug. 7, 1938.
