Burrus of Baring Is DeadMrs. Fred Kigar of Bible Grove, a sister of Dick Burrus of Baring, died Saturday afternoon, April 30, 1960 in a hospital at Kirksville at the age of 79 years.
Funeral services were at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Christian Church in Bible Grove, conducted by the Rev. William Whitney, pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are four children, a son, Cordie Kigar, of near Bible Grove, and three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Lancaster of Waterloo, Iowa, and Blanche, Mrs. Harold Marsh, and Okal, Mrs. Gerald Pulse, of Clarence and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And in addition to the brother, Dick, at Baring, Mrs. Kigar leaves also another brother, Mike Burrus, of Glasgow, Mont., and a sister, Mrs. Emma Lyons, of Dallas City, Ill.
As Clara Belle Burrus, Mrs. Kigar, a daughter and one of the nine children of the late Zachery and Dora Chapman Burrus, was born Oct. 4, 1880, near Bible Grove. She was married in early life to Mr. Kigar, who preceded her in death in 1925. Mrs. Kigar was also preceded in death by three infant children and three sisters and two brothers, the last sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Patterson, dying May 21, 1958.
