Kigar-Moots Marriage

Jackie Lee Kigar, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Cordie Kigar of northwest of Baring and Miss Betty Darlene Moots, a daughter of Mrs. Robert Moots and the late Mr. Moots of Kirksville, were married at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening, Feb. 19, 1958.  The Rev. William Whitney, pastor of the Bible Grove Christian Church, performed the marriage ceremony at the home in Downing of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smoot, friends and also attendants of the couple.  The bride, who wore a navy blue suit and navy accessories, graduated from the Kirksville High School in 1957 and has been employed by C. C. Thompson, florist, at KirksvilleMr. Kigar wore a tan business suit.  He was in the army for two years and returned home last June, since when he has been engaged in farming with his father.  His plans for the future are indefinite.

Mr. and Mrs. Jackie L. Kigar are the parents of their second child and first daughter born Monday morning, August 21, 1961, in the Grim-Smith Hospital at Kirksville.  The baby weighed 4 pounds and 12 ounces.

Mrs. Jackie Kigar returned home Monday from the Grim-Smith Hospital at KirksvilleSherry Lynne, the 4-pound, 12-ounce daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Kigar August 21, remained in the hospital.  She is expected home next week.  Their son, Terry, who had spent over a week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cordie Kigar, near Bible Grove, returned to his home here Monday evening.
