Mary M. Jump, 92, of Keokuk died Monday evening, Nov. 6, 2006, in River Hills Village, Keokuk.
She was born Oct. 7, 1914, the daughter of Leo and Rose Elisabeth Dalton Bryant.
She married Lester S. Jump on June 19, 1930, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1985.
She was a resident of Keokuk most of her life.
She was a production worker at The Hubinger Company for 17 years, and then she operated and owned three restaurants including Jump Lunch.
She was a member of the Lutheran faith, Women of the Moose and the Eagles Auxiliary. She loved bowling, mushrooming, picking blackberries, yard sales and playing card games.
She is survived by two sons, Lester Jump Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Marrow, Georgia, Ronald "Butch" Jump of Keokuk; two sisters, Helen Howard of Keokuk, Freida Rose of Louisville, Ky.; eight grandchildren: Kathy Hughes, Lester Jump, Danny Jump, Mary Elizabeth Jump, Robert Jump, Jeremy Jump and Virginia Jump; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews including her guardian and special caregiver, Clyde "Butch" Mitchell, of Keokuk.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, James, Ward, Warren and Willard Bryant; two sisters, Eva Burdette and Verna Rose Griffin; and two sons, Harry V. and Bill D. Jump.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at DeJong's Funeral Home with the Rev. Clegguart Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery north of Keokuk.
Visitation is today at the funeral home, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
