Edith S. Mann
becomes bride
of Ronald Jump

Miss Edith S. Mann, daughter of Mrs. Geraldine Mann of Alexandria, Mo. and Cecil Mann of Piedmont, Mo., exchanged marriage vows with Ronald Jump, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jump of this city, in a ceremony performed Saturday, October 7, at the Alexandria Presbyterian church.

The Rev. Virgil Caulk officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of relatives and a group of friends.

Preceding the ceremony Charlene Roberts, Alexandria, played appropriate selections on the organ and used traditional wedding marches for the processional and recessional.

Bride's gown

Given in marriage by her brother, Larry Fojtik, the bride wore a floor length sleeveless gown with rounded neckline.  Her elbow length veil of silk illusion was held in place by a white headpiece and she carried a colonial bouquet of white baby mums centered with pink rose buds.

The bride's mother wore a white suit with black accessories and Mrs. Jump, mother of the bridegroom, wore a brown and white suit with red accessories.  Both mothers had corsages of pink and white roses.

At home in Keokuk

Immediately after the ceremony, the couple left for a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination.  For going away the bride chose a green and cream colored suit with black accessories and a corsage taken from her bridal bouquet.  The couple is at home at 206 Exchange street.

The former Miss Mann attended high school in Alexandria and Kahoka and was formerly employed at the Morgan Restaurant in AlexandriaMr. Jump is employed by the Keokuk Steel Casting Co.

The bride was complimented with a shower given by Mrs. Geraldine Mann and Mrs. Larry Fojtik and with a dinner and shower by Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jump and Mrs. James Griffen.

Edith Sue Jump

Edith Sue Jump, 21, 502 South Fifth Street, died at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, at St. Joseph hospital.  She had been ill for two years and seriously ill for six months.

She was born September 25, 1949, in Keokuk, the daughter of Cecil and Geraldine Mitchell Mann.  She was married to Ronald V. Jump, October 7, 1967.  She was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian church and the Royal Neighbors.

Mrs. Jump is survived by her parents; one brother, Larry Fojtik, Alexandria; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Sue.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, at the Alexandria Presbyterian church with the Rev. Virgil P. Caulk officiating.  Interment will be in Buena Vista cemetery.  The body is at the DeJong Funeral home.
