Dies SuddenlyMrs. Laura Jones, 77, well-known and much respected resident of Bentley died very suddenly Tuesday morning, July 1, from a stroke suffered soon after she arose. Her son-in-law, Chellis Coffman, who resided with her, was in the door yard when he heard a noise and going into the house found Mrs. Jones lying dead at the foot of the stairs. She had been under a physician's care of late, but had been able to go about as usual. Mrs. Jones died exactly three weeks after the death of her only daughter, Mrs. Coffman, whose going was a terrible grief to her. She is survived by her grandson, Howard Coffman and her son-in-law, Chellis Coffman who was giving her such good care.
The funeral will be held Thursday, July 3 at 2:00 o'clock in the Bentley Methodist church, Rev. Dr. R. A. Gordon officiating. Interment will be in Harmony cemetery.
Husband: James Martin Jones
