John M. Jones Rites Wednesday
Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held 2 p.m. tomorrow (Jan. 11) at the Gilleland Funeral Home in New Cambria, with the Rev. Paul K. Kessell officiating. Burial will be in the New Cambria Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones was born April 5, 1929 in New Cambria to Plages Morgan and Clara Irene Cullen Jones. He attended the New Cambria High School. Mr. Jones lived several years in King George, Va., and was employed as a truck driver.
He served in the armed forces in the Korean War from June 1951 to June 1953.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Payne Jones; five sons, Randell Jones and Ricky Jones of Marceline, Richard Jones and Roger Jones of Macon and Thomas Jones of Bevier; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Randell (Marion) Jones, and a grandson Todd; a brother, William M. Jones of Brookfield; two sisters Mrs. Irvin (Betty) Baker of Excelsior Springs and Mrs. Carol Payne of Macon.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents.

Rites Wednesday For John Jones
John Morgan was born April 5, 1929 in New Cambria, the son of Plages Morgan and Clara Irene Cullen Jones. He attended New Cambria High School.
Mr. Jones was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from June 1951 to June 1953.
Most of his life was spent in the New Cambria area, although he lived in King George Va., for several years where he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife Phylis Payne Jones, of the home; five sons, Randell and Ricky Jones, both of Marceline; Richard and Roger of Macon; Thomas of Bevier; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Randell (Marian) Jones and a grandson, Todd; a brother, William M. Jones, Brookfield; two sisters, Mrs. Irvin (Betty) Baker, Excelsior Springs; Mrs. Carol Payne, Macon.
He was preceded in death by his parents both of whom died in 1966.
